Campfires and Soul Campfires give you a burning effect like real fire. It's realistic, but I'm not sure if it's intended, and the wiki states that this isn't supposed to happen.
You can also notice how Soul Campfire only does ½ heart of damage, but that's being tracked elsewhere.
