We experience the same issue on a Kindle Fire HD 7". The world is playable for "a while." At some point the screen turns green. Other worlds work. Upon returning to one of these corrupted worlds they look normal for a few seconds before the screen goes green again.

I have the same issue on Android 4.1.2. as Bartend discribed for Kindle. Very annoying issue. Hope realy you will get a fix.
