disconnecting from realms

So, I was playing on my friends' realm, and I was walking towards my house (which has a lot of cows and sheep, also my friend was in there), and so I went in, nothing happened, but when I tried to eat some bread, all the entities froze, including my friend, a few seconds later, A screen popped up and said "Disconnected from server". This might be because there are too many entities in one specific place causing everything to freeze and causing me to disconnect, but it gets a little annoying because after I disconnect, my screen is frozen for 5 minutes until I can do things again. After my screen isn't frozen anymore, I can't click anything on the main menu screen, all I can do is scroll up and down. So, if this could be fixed, that would mean a lot! I keep disconnecting from my realms and having to completely restart my Nintendo Switch, and it takes 20-30 minutes for me to fully launch the game.
