Some time in the last 2 weeks, Minecraft stopped working on our Xbox One and all attempts to get it running have failed. Need some help, please!
We are able to launch Minecraft, and we see it is "Synching User Profile" and "Loading Resource Packs" and we see the Marketplace button become colored with a holiday background.
After that, we are unable to click on any of the buttons on the start screen. We're stuck.
Please note: we are NOT subscribers to Xbox Live. We just want to play locally, single-player.
What we have tried:
Uninstalling and reinstalling Minecraft. (successfully completed, but it did not help)
Updating Xbox One. (successfully completed, but it did not help)
Removing ALL Minecraft save data from Xbox Hard drive (did not help)
Clearing up space Xbox Hard drive (4% used now)
Trying a different controller (other controller did the same thing)
Trying a different game. (other game works fine)
We are still unable to play Minecraft on our Xbox One and it's very frustrating since we spent money on this game.
I hope someone can help!
Thanks!
Thanks for what is perhaps the worst customer service I have ever received.
No thanks to you, or Microsoft, I fixed this out of pure frustration by pushing ALL the buttons on the start screen. It just so turned out that the controller was configured with A-B button SWAP turned on, with A functioning as CANCEL and B functioning as CONFIRM.
Sincerely do not appreciate the long delay and USELESS customer support you provided. I have developed a 100% negative opinion of MOJANG during this issue.
