If you build a farm according to https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Tutorials/Sweet_berry_farming you will notice that foxes no longer seem to go up and eat berries from planted bushes anymore. This completely stops the farm from working.
Foxes were eating sweet berries directly from bushes a version or so ago.
Having sat and watched foxes for a day night cycle it seems they are not eating from bushes at all rather than the drop rate of sweet berries from bushes being the issue. They also seem to be able to pick up dropped berries and eat them fine still.
