When changing to import skins, i cannot join servers and lan games, forcing me to use steve skin and game doesn't save import skins

So, if I want to change to import skin, i cannot join any server and lan worlds. And the game doesn't save the skin after i close minecraft. 

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open minecraft pe

2. Go to skins. Then pick edit character

3. Use any import skin

4. Wait to download

5. Quit the skin selection and it will be saved(before i close the game)

6. Press play

Notice if you changed to import skin you can't join any servers or lan worlds. If i close the game the skin disappears and turning to Steve skin
