The following issue is being experienced by multiple players on a variety of platforms (Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch)
As you may know, there is an option for splitscreen on all of these platforms mentioned above. However, when playing on splitscreen, there is a considerable amount of lag. Every 10 seconds, the game freezes for about 5 seconds for both players. However, the game still allows input from the controllers which can let your character end up in an undesirable situation, especially in the nether and end biomes. Therefore, instead of playing Minecraft Bedrock Edition for PS4, I have resided to the older Minecraft PS4 Edition due to the fact that this splitscreen lag is not experirenced on it. This issue has been spoken about a few times on the Internet and Minecraft Forums, but no fix has been made. The earliest date i could find for this specific problem is March 2020.
