When my friend attempts at joining a minecraft server me and my other friend made (not a realm) his screen is stuck with the message "Generating World, Locating Server". He has tried multiple times at connecting and it came with the same message. I have linked an image that was the same as his screen (not a screenshot).

We're actually already tracking this issue at MCPE-90372, so I will resolve and link this ticket as a duplicate.
If you could upload a copy of the world that would be helpful. Since the world is larger than 10MB you will need to upload the world to OneDrive or a similar file sharing site, and then share the link in a comment at MCPE-90372.
If you haven't already, you might like to make use of the search feature to see if the issue has already been mentioned.
