Shulkers levitation effect bugged, causes massive damage

While playing on a realm or server in bedrock. In end cities, when a shulker hits me and causes me to levitate occasionally i will receive a large amount of damage 10-15 seconds after the effect wears off. For all times it has happened i have been inside one of the rooms or on a ship in the end and i have not fallen a great distance, never more than 4 or 5 blocks. The levitation will end, ill go back to raiding the end coty and then i will take the damage, its usually around 6 or 7 hearts but it has been more. This has happened to me about 10 times now and has resulted in killing me twice. The death message is "feel from a high place", both times i died i did not fall at all and was standing still in a corner of the room. It was not from lag because i received the damage from the shulker attack normally. Note i was wearing diamond armor and in one occasion had feather falling 4. The feather falling did reduce some of the damage which leads me to think the game is giving me fall damage, while i am not falling.
