Sticky Pistons (facing up) won't retract blocks on Minecraft Nintendo Switch

When a sticky piston has the sticky side facing up, it won't retract the block that it previously pushed upward. I don't have any other consoles that I can play on, so I don't know if this is a cross platform issue, and I didn't see any one else bring this up in the bug report list, so I just wanted to bring this to your attention.

Where is the piston (coordinates)?
Does this happen for all blocks or only certain ones?
