It has come to my intention that I take unnecessary fall damage in mid-air. Whenever I propel my self to the sky using my trident l, I take fall damage even tho I'm still mid-air. I switched the game mode to peaceful but it didn't made any difference. So I applied a chunk border texture pack and it seems like the damage starts when the player is 2 blocks away from a chunk border inside a chunk. I've tried this in many other worlds and it seems like that it only occurs in a specific chunk. I hope that this bug gets fixed in the 1.17 update.
