Repeating needs redstone command block can be frozen

The video mostly explains it but, if aΒ  repeating needs redstone command block is being triggered and you get rid of the redstone block activating it, no matter what it will always be triggered unless you place a redstone block back. it gets frozen

Also forgot to mention the command in there is testfor @a[r=2]

I have a new account now, but yes it is an issue in the latest versionΒ

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Get a command block

  2. Put a comparator than a repeater in front of it

  3. Put in the command block, testfor @a[r=2] and make the command block needs Redstone on Repeat

  4. Place a Redstone block behind the command block to activate it Once you get close to the command block it will detect and activate like it should

  5. But now if you remove the Redstone block while its activated it will stay activated even though it shouldn't

  6. Β If you copy the same data values with ctrl + middle click it will still activate in that same frozen state

Observed Results: It will be activated in a frozen state if you remove the Redstone block

Expected Results: It should deactivate since you need Redstone to have the command block work in general

Thank you for your report!
After consideration, the issue is being closed as Working as Intended.

Please note, that mechanics of the game may change between updates.
Things such as graphics, sounds, world creation, biomes, redstone, villagers, and animals may not work the same in current versions.
