As mentioned on a previous post (which didn't get a response from anyone!!!), I have black screen when starting MCPE.
Tried uninstall, restart, re-opening the app, nothing works:
Motorola Xoom
Android 4.0.4
I have since upgraded my Xoom to Android 4.4.4 and still getting the same issue. The logcat shows a tonne of Java.FileNotFoundException errors.
Please acknowledge ASAP as to when this will be resolved.
I want to buy Windows 10 Minecraft for my son for Christmas so he can play with his siblings on MCPE, but until I can get MCPE working, there will be NO SALE.

Hi Nick, sorry to hear of your troubles. Do you have the number of your earlier ticket? I could not find it when searching by you as reporter.
Please go into device settings, backup and reset and ensure automatic restore is disabled, then uninstall and reinstall MCPE (It's a crap shoot but worth a try)
How did you install 4.4.4 on your Motorola Xoom and how are you accessing the logcat for MCPE?
Please install CPU-Z (it's free, but you can use any other device diagnostic tool of your choice, you may already have one) and let us know the Java VM and OpenGL ES versions under the system tab.
Hi,
The earlier ticket was someone else's which I had commented on, no worries.
I tried the auto restore option, sadly didn't help 😞
Because I couldn't get MCPE to work, I installed a custom ROM (OmniROM) (desperate to get MCPE working again as it is all my son uses the tablet for!). I was using cat log tool to get the logcat.
CPU-Z reports Java VM Dalvik 1.6.0 AND OpenGL ES 2.0.

This is not a duplicate of 8332, as it affects a different device running a different version of MCPE.
If you believe it is a duplicate, at least have the decency to update 8332 with further details, and perhaps respond to the comments from myself and other people. Marking something as a duplicate as another bug seems to be an easy way of ignoring the issue.
This has been happening for over 8 months now, and it needs to be fixed. People have paid for something which is now broken.
I work in software development, and this would be considered a severity 1, because your customers are unable to use the software following an update.
