Minecart blocks view while riding in one

While riding in a minecart in first person, if I look anywhere above the horizon, my view changes as though I'm deep in the minecart, blocking my view of everything else except for the sky directly above. Annoying when enemies like phantoms are attacking. This comes immediately following the most recent update.
