Hostile Mob Spawning is broken

So I was playing on a friend's realm on bedrock and I noticed with or without torches Hostile Mobs spawn in way too frequently. My other friend has noticed this too. Mobs spawn everywhere when torches are around 90% of the time. It's really annoying as creepers keep exploding my house! Please fix this!!!
