Twice since the 1.16.220 update yesterday occurred (CST), in a world set to EASY with no cheat codes, lightning has struck INSIDE two separate houses, killing all pets inside, and setting two players on fire.

I am unable to add images. One house is basic wood with a half wood roof, and half glass. Other house is wood with a quartz roof.

This happened to me as well. Once with a dog and then a cat on two separate play sessions. Both were in a Sitting state on carpet. I am on Hard difficulty on Xbox. There is a roof layer of half slabsa nd stone blocks then another layer of half slabs (2nd floor) above the pets.
Right before it happened there was a flash on screen like lightning but I am indoors. The second time I was kind of aware so I immediately looked around and saw my cat was gone and the carpet around it was burning except the flames where floating 1 block above where the carpets were instead of on the ground.

Upload images of what exactly? The event after it has already set me ablaze and killed my pets? And how are you marking this as resolved when I have no answer to it? Come on Mojang. Just because I’m not DanTDM doesn’t mean I don’t deserve a proper answer or service.
The difficulty does not affect thunderstorms, if possible do add images of the houses
