Animated grass texture (made to mimic seasonal colours) does not show correct colour from short distance from player, looks very unsightly. Also affects animated leaves, possibly other foliage. Colour appears to be greenish on both grass block and all animated leaves, does not seem to affect animated furnace. I see that the post you have linked to is talking about the sides of grass, I am not talking about that, I mean the top of the grass blocks and the top of the leaves blocks that I have retextured, from a short distance of say 10 (give or take) blocks away from the player the top of the grass is bright green but it should be whatever colour the animated blocks closest to the player is at that moment which is currently a lighter green, it is more noticeable with the trees leaves in the autumn colours so perhaps I should get a photo of that. As the player gets nearer to that spot it changes to the correct texture.

That ticket has already been resolved as Won't Fix, which means this is considered a bug but won't be fixed. The description of that ticket or the comments might explain the rationale. Please do not leave a comment on the linked ticket.
