Shield animation absent

The bug:
When crouching with a shield equipped in either hand, instead of moving smoothly from the rest position to the guarding position, the shield jumps abruptly without the animation present in older versions.

How to reproduce
Hold a shield in either hand and crouch. The animation for this action is absent.
