The lush caves in minecraft are rarely generates and it took me so long to find one that I had to go on yt and look up a seed

no type of new generation is born below layer 0 (mine shafts, lush caves, amethyst, diorite pockets, granite or something similar). neither are entities generated.
[media]It's true, I find it 3 hours, and, I belive, new beta will be come with very often lush caves biome, and with spawn lush caves biome below y=0
