Using compasses or maps while I'm on a boat is confusing, sometimes a compass or map point to the wrong place.

When I am in a boat and have a compass in the hotbar, the compass needle does not update its position while paddling the boat. When in the boat and moving the player's view, the compass does not seem to be pointing anywhere in particular. It is not possible to move the player's view so the compass is pointing forward. When in the boat with the compass in hand, you can point your player toward the compass position but when you turn the boat, the compass position does not change.

This issue persists on a boat. It is fixed for compasses, but when I hold a map on a stationary boat (so that it becomes visible), it still points to the wrong place.
