This issue only happens to me when I reload a saved game. It also seems (although unconfirmed) that this only happens in my underground chicken pens - they are also quite full which may contribute to it. I can be playing for a long time and there will never be any escaped chickens, but the moment I reload the world, I find one or two which just escaped somehow. This happened in 0.14.1 and is still happening in 0.14.2. I play on a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge both PE and VR editions.
