clicking sign and close doesn't do anything sometimes

description of issue:

sometimes when writing in a book and quill, i will attempt to sign the book and quill only for me to click the button and it not to not do anything. i tried rewriting it and it worked but i don't understand what's going on. i have attached a video showing the issue

what should happen:

when clicking "sign and close" it should sign a book and close it.

what happens:

the book will randomly decide to not sign and close requiring a rewrite.

steps to recreate:

1. load a world and obtain a book and quill (i was using creative on a flat world)

2. write something such as a a short story

3. attempt to sign it. leave the author blank (i tried with a author and it didn't work)

if this issue is because of some sort of requirement i have not fulfilled i would like to say it is not very clear and hopefully this feedback can be sent to the appropriate team to help make it more clear.
