Sorry, I could not reproduce this on my Samsung Galaxy S6 (SM-G920W8), Android 5.1.1, MCPE 0.14.0 build 6. Can you try again in a creative flat world and see if it still crashes? I'm trying in a creative flat, place the spawner, add the egg, villagers spawn as expected.

The device I am using is an LG Nexus 4 Android and as you previously wrote the villager spawner does work on a flat world. On top of that I tried the spawner on the default world and the bug seems to have been resolved.
