My friend can't join my world

My friend isnt able to join my world. We were playing one night and then we logged off, like normal. When we went to join the next day he tried joining but it just left him on a loading screen. This has been happening for a few days and he still isnt able to load in. He restarted his xbox and deleted minecraft and reinstalled and it still isnt working. I even restarted my xbox and deleted my minecraft as well. I also created a copy of the world and he tried to join it but it still doesnt work. Me and my friends can see his character and even my dog looks at him in game, but it seems like something on his end just for this world specifically. I made a new world and he was able to join and he can join other peoples world with no problem. We both have the same version of minecraft but are completely clueless on how to fix this issue. I've looked at multiple websites searching the answer and have yet to find it.
