A few weeks after the 1.17 update I had opened up minecraft to play and I had no sound, music, sound effects, nothing. I waited a few more weeks as the new update just came out because bugs are always expected but it hasn't been resolved yet. I checked my settings and everything is up 100% nothing is muted, I even tried with my headset on full volume and nothing not even with my tv turned up. All other games I play have audio so it's not my settings on my console. I don't know if anyone else is having this issue but I think it should be checked out.

Could you please provide more details or/and media files. As such we have no repro of this issue. Is this still an issue in the latest version (1.17.11)? If so, can you please add it to the affected versions (or mention it if you are not the reporter).
