This bug has been in the game for a long time and is a BIG disadvantage on servers. Console and Windows 10 gamers can literally make bridges by running and jumping.
This bug has already been reported, I have already reported it, but the moderator who saw the report simply marked it with "Working as Intended", he got it wrong.

As mentioned in a comment on MCPE-119608, the ability to place blocks at your feet (off the edge of the block you are standing on) is a feature of bedrock edition. A side-effect of this is that if you are willing to take the risk of running while doing that, you can place blocks quite quickly. However, if you run out of blocks, or there is server lag, you may fall off the bridge you are building. Any particular advantage given by this is mainly due to having more control options with a keyboard, mouse, or controller than on a mobile device.
