In game music does not play at all and music disks don't sound

whenever I open up the app the in game music does not play at all, and when I am playing in my world. Also I attempted playing music disks but the sound is not on my phone. I tried to see if it was my world by playing with friends but for some reason it is only on my side of the game. The music sounds fine on my friends phone for example. Are there any possible solutions for this?
