First portal into nether worked perfectly and has for weeks. Found a distant nether fortress and decide to build a portal back to overworld, and this portal crashes every time. Have tried restarting, and rebuilding the portal to try again. Each time, the transport animation plays, but just as the box, which typically says "building world...", begins to display the game crashes to desktop. I saw there were similar issues which were resolved previously, but nothing documented on the 1.17.11 version.
This is on world seed -2005828633 and the coordinates of the portal's bottom center block, in the nether, are (59,61,407).

Sorry it will not let me attach the world. The attachment field tosses an error saying there is a 10MB limit. I exported my world, but the file is about 140MB. Please advise.

Thanks for sharing the world! However, I could not reproduce the issue.
You said the crash stopped happening when you changed the portal build. Is the portal that was crashing the one outside, with crying obsidian blocks in its corners and is sat on stairs?
If yes, in what direction should I expand the portal to make it crash again?

Just noticed a typo, sorry! That world seed number should be negative, not positive. As an additional note, the original portal I made still works perfectly.
