My stuff vanished from my nether portal after I died super randomly and it is now gone

I went to my nether portal from the nether side and went through. My switch lagged and it took forever to load, I heard myself taking damage and when I loaded it said I suffocated in a wall. I went back to the portal and all of my stuff and loot was gone. I went through at it was not on the other side making me lose all my diamond armor, shulker boxes loot and two nether items tools. I am severely mad and pissed because it is gone and I want it back since the tools were enchanted. This is a survival world and it took forever to get those
