Block Entites drop from randomly from the ground and walls. It seems to only happen on Oak Wood and Stone. Also when ever I walk around 40 blocks away, some signs fall off when I come back.
Block Entites that drop: Torches, Signs, Item Frames, Ladders, and Paintings.
