Mobs can actually jump around in the snow instead of walking around, is this a bug, or is this a interesting feature?
Steps to Reproduce:
Find a snowy biome or mountain.
Spawn a mob on the snow layers.
Wait for the mob to walk.
Observed Results:
The mob constantly jumps.
Expected Results:
The mob should walk normally.
Fixed Versions: 1.17.40.23 Beta
Note: This Bug Does Not Work In 1.17.30 Update.

Possibly caused by the fix to MCPE-127381.
This is the same bug with carpets. This is especially noticeable in Woodland Mansion.

Affects 1.17.30

I'm thinking this might be because the mob's pathfinding AI thinks even non-full blocks, like carpet or snow layers, are full blocks, and their AI essentially then sends them into a loop of trying to get on top of the "full block" until they succeed, or are somehow knocked out of the loop, to where their AI no longer tries to make the mob try to jump on top of the "full block", which was never a full block to begin with.
Could you please confirm whether this is a new issue that is affecting 1.17.30? So far we have only been able to reproduce the problem in the 1.17.40.21 Beta version. If it is an issue in the former, please add a video and any additional repro steps if possible. Thanks!

Cannot reproduce in 1.17.30. The test is very simple:
Make a flat world.
/fill ~~~ ~100 ~ ~100 snow_layer 2
Wait a few seconds. Set time to night to observe monsters as well as animals.
Natthan: It is very important that you actually test an issue before commenting that it affects a particular version. You have added "affects x.x.x" comments on a huge number of tickets in the past week. I have attempted to dialogue with you on several tickets about this but you do not seem to be watching. At this point I am going to regard further comments from you as spam. If you continue to spam unhelpful comments and disregard tracker staff you may be banned.

Reply from @unknown: this report was just created for 1.17.40.20 and therefore shows that version already. Please only comment new information.
