I've recently booted a world of mine that was perfectly fine regarding how smooth it can be; the world runs well on the base PS4. Even on max settings, it isn't as bad since everything still has the distance between them. However, the world has felt much laggier and more unstable since the update, which is massively destructive. It's lagging when partial FPS drops areas of the world, which aren't that bad, say in a record about 50-55 frames per second, even on lowest settings for boosting FPS. Now, when on the LOWEST settings possible, each part of the map lags massively when looking in specific areas, and lots of the changes have created more issues regarding how it flows and performance of the world. The world is a superflat world and is 90MB total. The update recently started more performance problems, which aren't good long-term and need to be addressed.
Another issue that I'd like to point out, which probably hasn't been mentioned, is the overall jagged and poor visuals the game is experiencing within this update. The visuals look so low-quality, and so many rough edges when looking at blocks farther away, and when moving, you experience so many edges and roughness within the pixels of all blocks of all kinds. Even when still, you see rough textures and sharpness that are deemed so unnecessary and visually unpleasing. In the previous update, the visuals were perfectly fine, with no cuts and roughness, and everything was smooth. However, everything feels rough and unpleasant, and the update does not seem very polished, performance-wise, or even visual-wise, even if the team worked hard to get these fixes done.
I will comment on the issues over time regarding performance since that's a significantly major part of the update that's experiencing issues. The visuals need to be cleaned up since it looks poor.

Please put only one bug report in each ticket. It is very difficult to keep track of bugs when they are not in their own tickets.
However, please review the Bug Tracker Guidelines before creating new reports. Be sure to search for an existing issue as it is likely to have already been reported.
In general though, these kind of reports also do not contain the information needed. Reports need to provide a specific list of steps to reproduce a single issue, along with observed and expected behavior. In particular, for lag it is important to note exactly what you are doing or looking at or whatever specifically produces lag.
Please read the Guidelines linked below before creating additional reports.
