Switch: Downloaded packs are not saved locally

After the 1.17.30 update on Nintendo Switch, cached items from servers now delete after you close the game making me have to re-download them every time I join a server. They used to appear and stay downloaded on 1.17.10.

I checked it on my Playstation 4 and all downloaded data is still there so it seems to only affect the Nintendo Switch.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Get another player to startup a world with texture packs enabled.

  2. Join the other players world

  3. Install the packs when asked

  4. Leave the world

Observed Results:

  1. No items in cached data part of the settings menu

  2. Joining the world again asks you to download the texture packs

This bug also causes unreliable loading times and can cause the "Connection Timed Out" screen to show up multiple times before getting to the Texture Pack Download Screen

Expected Results:

1. Packs should stay after leaving the world so you can join the world quickly (all other devices do this)

Still applies to most recent version (1.18.2)

Could be related to the Nintendo Switch's Firmware and reinstalling the game doesn't fix the issue

This is still happening with the most recent update (1.19.21).

Same happens on xbox now

1: host a realm or dedicated server with a resource pack

2: connect to realm or dedicated server, then download and join

3: after exiting Minecraft, starting it up again to play next time, same resource packs must be downloaded.

Observed behaviour:

after finish playing and starting Minecraft again, these resource packs must now be re-downloaded every time connecting to realm or dedicated server with a resource pack.

Expected behaviour:

Resource packs should be cached for next time Minecraft starts

Behaved as expected with the uwp version
