Whenever I press the skins button on the main menu the game crashes immediately.

Please provide more details. Have you used a file editor to add skins? Have you purchased any of the skin packs? Did you have a custom skin loaded previous to the crash starting to appear? Etc.
None of those, I just emailed the skin through email, downloaded it on my phone, pressed the skin button and the add button. Selected from the photos and used it. That was on a previous version though, it started on the latest version.
