One world in specific gets stuck on the "loading resource packs" phase of the loading process for at least 20 minutes if not more. Once the world finally loads, the performance is very choppy and I am unable to do many of the normal actions such as going into my inventory or picking the block I'm looking at (button 3) and soon after, the game will freeze. I have done plenty of investigating into what might be causing this:
opened older copies of the same world (without more recent changes made to the world but same world)
disabled all resource packs
enabled the same resource packs on another world
tried opening this world on another device
used "AVG tune up" to make sure this is not caused by hardware issues
I opened this world almost a week ago without problem but two days ago, (Friday) this began occurring. in the days leading up to Friday, I didn't open Minecraft once and hardly used the computer at all so I have absolutely no idea what caused this to start and what continues to cause this. I have been playing Minecraft for about 6 years now so I have experienced my fair share of glitches and bugs throughout the years but have never experienced this. I'm not sure if other people are also experiencing this but if anyone out there is experienced in diagnosing glitches or bugs, any help would be greatly appreciated.
