My pets are despawning even when they I name them.

I would like to report to you that my dogs, cats, and horses despawn even when I leave them sitting and quit the game. I return to see that they are all gone. I named them to prevent this from happening but it still occurs. I am sure that this is happening to other players and it is harming the immersion of Minecraft. The survival aspect of the game has always been what drew me to play it for years and years. And the companionship of animals was one of the driving factors of that aspect.

I have been playing Minecraft since 2013 and have been there to see how much you have developed it. And if this issue was patched the game would be perfect. Maybe if there was a way to make tamed pets unable to despawn, that would solve this.
