Recently I've had an issue where in-game sounds (not music or the clicks when navigating the menu) cut in and out when in both survival and creative. Only while wearing headphones however (HyperX Stinger Core wireless headset). It happens on servers such as CubeCraft as well, and Realms. I know it isn't a problem on my end, with either the headphones, or the computer, because like I said, all other MC sounds work just fine. This has started after I got the 1.17.40 update a few days ago. Sounds that I'm referring to are taking damage, walking noises, elytra wooshing, and a lot more. Breaking blocks seems to be somewhat ok though.

I think it isn't a dupe though, because it isn't a proximity issue, the sound is cutting in and out and being glitchy.
Have you tried turning off Spatial Sound in the right-click menu of the Volume Control taskbar icon?
Interesting, spatial sound wasn't previously on, but I turned it on and it works now. I didn't think it would work that way but thanks!
