The map on ios(iPad) misses the central arrow to show where you are (while PC bedrock has ). Those following three pictures I just made are same but in different sizes. I couldn‘t figure out where I am through this map, which doesn’t happen on Win10 bedrock edition.

A map will only show player markers if it is a locator map. Are the maps you crafted on iOS normal maps or locator maps?

Thank you for your correction . This is a normal map and I was mistaken in thinking that is a located map cause I often play on Java edition.
