I play on Switch as well as on my Android phone and new nether portals keep generating randomly. My nether portal leads me to the nether and when I travel back through the same portal, it takes me out into a new destination in a game-generated portal. This has happened in multiple worlds, in 1.16 and 1.17. I do not understand.

I experience this too. On my realm world, we go in our house portal and there’s a fifty fifty chance when you come out of it your transported to another portal that we didn’t come through. It’s always in the same place though when you go back to the overworks, not far from our built one but still spawns from no where.
