Nether Portals do not link. When you build a portal and enter the Nether, then exit the Nether, you do not appear at the original portal, Instead, a random portal appears in the World Spawn.
Creating multiple portals in the overworld links to the same original portal in the Nether, regardless of the coordinates of the portals in the overworld.

I took a screen recording of exactly what the problem is, I can't explain it more clearly that this. The Nether Portals do not link properly, as shown in this video.
