Animals and Villagers mysteriously disappeared and won't return, only village within 5,000 blocks so big issue

I logged into Minecraft after getting off for 20 minutes before to eat lunch, when I got back I didn't really notice anything different, until I went outside to farm food and breed my animals, I found that all my animals were gone, so I looked around to trade, noticed my iron golems and snow golems were all gone too, and finally I found all the villagers I had trapped in the village were gone, regardless of their level, had really high levels on a few of them too so this is a huge ripoff to my resources in game, did all that leveling of my villagers for nothing apparently.
