Acacia Leaves not generating properly in negative Y levels

Acacia trees grown from saplings in the negative Y values do not generate all of their leaf blocks (noticeable on version where a double branch generates). I noticed the issue on a superflat world and was able to replicate it in a regular world as well. The leaf blocks generate normally at traditional surface levels. 

I've replicated the issue on both the Xbox One and Windows versions (attached are screen shots from the Windows version).
