Villagers don't show names while trading

Dear Mojang Developers, I found an interesting bug that affects the Villagers. In Minecraft Java, when you trade with a villager, it shows their name. When you trade with them, it says Level [1-5] - [Profession of Villager] and does not show their name if nametagged like unlike Java, it shows their name.

If you look at the picture, you will see a villager nametagged in my survival world, and they do not show their names.

Steps to reproduce the bug.

  1. Give the villager a name using a nametag

  2. Open the trade screen, and you will only see their level and profession not their name.

@Teep you know there is a dedicated edit button, right?

Anyway, I’ll get back on topic and say this:

I can confirm that it doesn’t show the name, but the problems is is that there isn’t anywhere to put the name, so I think this is more a feature request rather than a bug. Keep in mind that Bedrock and Java have completely different GUI’s, so this small thing isn’t really that big of an issue, and would probably need a rework of the Villager Trading GUI.

Appears the same in 1.18.30
