Summary:
In the java version, the "randomTickSpeed" gamerule does not affect the speed at which tadpoles hatch from frogspawn. In bedrock, on the contrary, "randomTickSpeed" affects the hatching speed. MC-249308 - Java report this issue in java edition which was resolved as a feature request.
Steps to reproduce:
Place down some frogspawn.
Set the "randomTickSpeed" gamerule to a high value in an attempt to increase the speed of the frogspawn hatching.
/gamerule randomTickSpeed 3000
Wait a couple of seconds watching the frogspawn.
Observed results:
The speed at which tadpoles hatch from frogspawn would be affected by the "randomTickSpeed" gamerule.
Expected results:
The speed at which tadpoles hatch from frogspawn is not affected by the "randomTickSpeed" gamerule.
I think this fix is really a bug and should be reverted. It should be possible to speed up hatching. Bedrock shouldn't introduce new bugs in the name of parity, java should just be fixed. Otherwise I'd like quasi connectivity on bedrock please thanks. java is no longer the flagship platform and shouldn't be treated as such.
