On Thursday I updated my game to Minecraft 1.18.30 on my Nintendo Switch, ever since I have been frustrated with the game's performance.
The biggest issue is the save. The game saves twice, maybe even thrice as often and every single time it freezes my game from 30 seconds to minutes. I thought it was because of my huge amount of item frames in my storage system (which was not a problem anymore) so I removed the item frames. Even so, the game constantly freezes. Even worse the world progresses around you when it happens. I nearly died the first time in a world where I have been playing on for around 3/4 of a year when I was in a raid.
It also CONSTANTLY disconnects my Nintendo Online account. I was playing Skywars on Cubecraft and I lost my biggest win streak because it popped up with a communication error message because it disconnected my accounts! I was fortunate enough that it only happened once.
A update that was supposed to solve performance issues created a worse one. I am not a very technical person when it comes to the coding of the game, but even I know something isn't working with the new update! I was playing just fine on the previous update. There could be a ton of entities in my area and sure I may lag quite a bit but it's way better than this!
