If you have got the Bedrock edition for free you cannot install the Minecraft Preview for Windows because the get this app or the install button does not appear neither in the Microsoft Store nor in the Xbox App on Windows 10.
Also Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition for PC although downloadable and installable via the Microsoft Store or Xbox app does not get listed under the bought programs inside of the Microsoft Account and that is what may be causing the issue.
