Using a chat pad on an Xbox controller doesn't work with the chat bar below, you have to click on the chat then a popup keyboard comes up then the chat pad will work for the built-in keyboard on Xbox,
This used to work on Minecraft preview for Xbox but now we are running unknown windows gaming build,

This has been like this since we switched to playing on the unknown windows gaming build that is now on Xbox, where before we had Minecraft Preview for Xbox, that isn't the case anymore, this is a feature that is in the main release for Minecraft and it still works to this day, this was overlooked and they didn't think replacing a version that wasn't made for Xbox would have a feature that was only made for the Xbox version,
For me, this hasn't been working since the change of versions for the preview for an unknown windows gaming build, before this, it was working fine for the Minecraft Preview for Xbox, since then I now have to click the chat bar to get the popup keyboard and then I can use the chat pad in that chat bar,
Yes, I have this exact same issue! This needs to be fixed ASAP because it is a very important aspect to the game that has been working well until the most recent beta/preview.
