An Empty Bucket won't catch any of the mobs that it normally would be able to. I know its a bug because if it were me it would be picking up water, but instead it does nothing. I assumed that this would have been fixed with the advent of the new update but that is not the case. A Fix would also allow affected players to fully experience the new update by catching tadpoles.
