Freeze when using Editions button to switch to old PS4 version

I always (and still) play the old console version on my PS4. Thats because Bedrock is just a slow and frustrating mess (in my opinion). But recently, i can't play the old version anymore.

In the last 3 days, everytime I go on the editions button, there is a message that pops up asking me if i really want to switch to the old version. And everytime i click on "yes" the game completely freezes instead of loading.

I hope this glitch can be fixed, i would be really sad if i can't play the old version anymore.
