In a day when I was playing I went to a distant region (with the elytra) with the passing of the generation of the world in the Overworld was presenting errors and it was not the first time so I decided to test.
When testing on two different seeds, I noticed that since 1.18, floating lands are more frequently generated at some point on the map.
Usually these points end up changing the terrain so much that it spoils the seed with flat areas becoming floating lands.
I suggest doing a little check to avoid/reduce the same error in other places in the world.
Note: With such a big game and the generation of worlds is changing as updates are made, it is normal to have generation errors, but the goal should be to leave as little error as possible so as not to disrupt the player's experience.

Good observation! I know there are generations that look like errors but are intentional (since not all biomes, even of the same type, need to be exactly the same / similar) but in this case with floating blocks and islands suspended in the air, it's exaggerated.

Those aren't errors, those are intentional, its part of the windswept savanna biome's unique terrain. The terrain can also influence other terrain around it in a small proximity.
